My Story

My Story

I was born in Scotland and immigrated to Canada when I was four. I have lived and worked on a farm all my life and been working on it at spring and harvest since I was eleven. When I was twelve dad taught me how to drive the combine and I've ran it since then every harvest. In spring I worked the land for dad and he seeded. our farm was 2000 acres. In the summer I sail with the Manitoba Sailing Team and have been racing with them since I was 12 or 13 in a Laser Radial.

day fourteen

Day fourteen

We took up anchor today and sailed into Erie. There is another tall ship festival here and its way busier than in Windsor there are 12 ships here I think but were the biggest :P I went off the ship today and did laundry needed t shirts and pants washed and I missed our ship laundry day because I had galley.  I’m super happy to have clean clothes. We also went uptown and found a Starbucks for me to find out my debit card doesn’t get accepted in the stated only at ATM’s which charge you for every transaction so that was annoying but the rest of Erie is beautiful. At night we went to the smugglers cove, which is a restaurant on the waterfront of the harbor. They have a patio, which has a wooden canopy thing over top of it, and the canopy is completely covered in ivy we sat there and watched the sunset on the water. It really hit me then what im actually doing pre crazy how many beautiful sights my peers and I are going to see.
