My Story

My Story

I was born in Scotland and immigrated to Canada when I was four. I have lived and worked on a farm all my life and been working on it at spring and harvest since I was eleven. When I was twelve dad taught me how to drive the combine and I've ran it since then every harvest. In spring I worked the land for dad and he seeded. our farm was 2000 acres. In the summer I sail with the Manitoba Sailing Team and have been racing with them since I was 12 or 13 in a Laser Radial.

fifth day

Day five 28th

Galley went well today me and Sophia took the aft cabin and served all the maritime crew and teachers pretty easy job just have to set up the food and dishes for them then clean up after. We hit our first port today!  Stopped in Detroit today for fuel and we had to go through customs even though none of us got off the boat and we were only there for an hour or so then left. We had a meeting about Winsor and the port programs we are doing. We are going to be involved in the tall ships festival and getting the ship ready to be shown off to other tall ship crew and tall ship enthusiasts and anyone else who would like to see a tall ship. We also get to explore other tall ships with a special crew pass that we get. At the festival there are bands and magicians and people on stilts so lots of really cool stuff to see and do and it’s also a place to get Internet so that will be a big rush and Tims !
